❤ Truth Booth

Welcome to the Truth Booth, an innocuous-looking hut located not too far from the house, though you have to pass through a rather dense copse of palm trees and you can only make this journey with one other person.
Completely at odds with the outward appearance, the inside of the hut has white tiled floors and an almost clinical appearance. Those wishing to test their compatibility for the week must clasp hands and stand in the center of the room, where they will be scanned to determine whether they are (or not) a Perfect Match. Facing them is a screen displaying their Highly Flattering Pictures and when the scanning is complete, the truth will also flash on their screen.
So step right up. It's the only way to know for sure.

Ahh, figures. [ Said carelessly as usual, even if his grip is anything but. ] I'm really not good at being what people want.
[ His smile is still there too. ]

[Ash might be holding onto that smile a lot more stalwartly than him, but Rufus decides to show his stubbornness in a different way. Mostly by rejecting completely the idea that the fault lies with Ash.]
Don’t be absurd. [With his free hand, he gestures at the results.] You don’t need a machine to tell you whether or not you’re good enough.
[And neither does Rufus; even if, ah, that is the point of the game. But the point of the game has offended him in lieu of giving him the response they both obviously wanted.]
I liked my choice. The parameters of the game might not agree, but that doesn’t change much of what I think.

This is just kinda the Dragon all over again with Sherwyn taking the kill from us. [ A sigh. Has he been lying this whole time about killing the dragon? Oops. Sometimes you are just stubborn and make reality your own. ]
But it's not like that stopped me. So yeah, what you said. [ He doesn't know how to word it or maybe he doesn't want to. He refuses to think more on pretty much all of this actually, so.
This atmosphere is completely different than their first kiss, but that doesn't stop him from tugging Rufus closer to press their lips together. Variety is the spice of life, or maybe just spite in this instance. ]

But he’s indignant for different reasons. And he’s not that person. Besides, what’s he supposed to say when Ash takes the initiative this time, unexpected and actually catching him off-guard?
He’s frozen in place for a moment, until he’s not. Until his surprise gives way to a being darkly amused, his frustrations sweeping into defiance against the Truth Booth itself and its assessment of their match. Results be damned.
His lips curve into a smile, at some point. Everyone’s watching, but they can just enjoy the show.]
