Welcome to a new week, lovebirds! Monday dawns gray and misty, and it's actually not long before a thunderstorm rolls in! You can, of course, kiss dramatically in the yard in the rain and risk getting struck by lightning-- or you can stay inside, cuddle in the conversation pit, USE THE GODDAMN BOOM BOOM ROOM or do anything else until the storm blows over by the evening! Don't worry, the rest of the week will be bright and sunny and beautiful!

There's also a new section of the house, weirdly enough! There's a bright turquoise door located near the bedroom and opening it leads to... a massive indoor pool. The water is a pleasant temperature, there's a hot tub, there's an assortment of flotation devices for those of you who might have trouble swimming (tubes, life vests, boogie boards, pool noodles that can also be used to wage Deadly Combat if you are Sara and Kasque or Jeritza or anyone else ready for Violence). And if you somehow didn't pack a swimsuit because why on earth would your canon let you have one--

Worry not!! There's a rack of swimsuits in every size you lot could need! The catch (or not): they're all sexy. Like. Barely there sexy. Impossibly adhering to you sexy. Shoelaces would maybe cover more sexy. Absolutely great to play Chicken Fight in sexy. You get the idea.

Anything having to do with being able to write is still also Not Present.

[ There's something so terribly earnest about the way he says that. Blaze has heard many, many lines in her day - some of them better than others - but this doesn't read like that at all. It's just a simple statement of fact.

And that certainly makes her feel... something that she can't put a name to. All she knows is that she doesn't dislike it. ]

I... I don't know if anyone's ever said anything like that to me before.

[ Perhaps because, intentionally or not, she never gave them the chance. ]

I kind of like it.

[ With her response, he reaches up to brush back some of her hair with his fingers. ]

Only kind of?

[ It's a very light tease, but there's the fondness still lingering to show that he's not actually mocking her or anything of the sort. ]

But I don't see why no one would have said anything like that before now.

I... hm.

[ Gods, he's being so sweet. If she really thought about it, she could probably come up with a number of reasons why no one dotes on her like this, or says sweet things in a fond tone of voice.

But she doesn't take the time to think about it. She laughs, the sound light and a touch awkward, and lifts a hand from their blanket cocoon to rest gently against the side of his face. ]

You're making me feel like a schoolgirl with a crush. What am I supposed to do now, hm?

Whatever you want to do with it. I like you, which also means I want your happiness with it.

[ Which, yes, if it means doing more along these lines, he'll keep going with it. But if she wants to focus on that potential relationship with Sara, he's more than okay keeping this more platonic affection. ]

I'm more than happy to explore whatever venue you're into.

[ In a perfect world, she would get to have both. The serious but sweet and terribly kind general and this man who talks to her like she’s something precious. However, the rules of the game is that there’s one partner for each of them - and that aside, she fears Sara might go so red she bursts into flames at the mere thought of taking more than one partner. Some people just aren’t built for it, and that’s okay.

Which means she will have to choose, eventually. ]

You’re not making this easy on me.

[ Eventually. ]

Just kiss me already.

[ Zagreus never meant to make this hard for Blaze. Unfortunately, sometimes attraction doesn't play fair and things happen. ]

If you change your mind at any point about this, just let me know.

[ Even if it's mid kiss or anything more than that, he's wanting to make this completely comfortable for her. Sure, he's fine with being polyamorous, but it doesn't mean that he doesn't deeply care about people he has ties with.

Also, it wouldn't be the first time a relationship dissolved on him that he's cared about, so he wants to make this as painless as possible for Blaze, if it came to that.

But he shifts against he to get in a better position and leans in to press his lips against her. The hand that had brushed her hair back now rests gently on her cheek. It's gentle, affectionate, testing the waters. ]

I will. Same goes for you.

[ Zagreus may not be as certain of his choices thus far, but it only seems right to extend the same courtesy to him. Who knows, perhaps there's another connection somewhere in this house that he's yet to find?

Until then, Blaze knows she'll never let herself live it down if she didn't act on this initial attraction, the person for whom sparks flew first and brightest, to see where it might lead them. She leans into that kiss, her own hand slipping to the back of his neck. It's sweet and exploratory, and she pulls away after a moment, a smile curving her lips. ]

Surely you can do better than that.

[ The consideration is much appreciated and just goes to show the positive traits of Blaze that he's seen so far.

At her words, Zagreus moves in close again, lips brushing against hers with a smile as he speaks. ]

Seems like some sort of a challenge. [ A light, if playful kiss. ] I like the sound of that.

[ Of course, he doesn't want to leave Blaze unsatisfied, either. He leans more of his weight against her to deepen the kiss than what he had before. The sweetness still lingers, but there's something more underlying in the kiss now. His lips part to trail along her upper lip. ]

[ The whole lot of them have spent the last week adjusting, dancing around each other, and while that's to be expected, it still feels nice to finally... give in.

She grins against him briefly, delighted when he rises to the challenge. When his lips part against hers, she is all too happy to follow suit and take the kiss deeper still, her fingers toying with the hair at the nape of his neck. ]

[ It is nice breaking this tension that's been building between them. Sure, neither of them know where this is going to end up down the road, but there's no reason not to lean into it for the time being.

His nose brushes against hers in a bit of a nuzzle before tilting his head to get a better angle to deepen the kiss even more. His thumb gently brushes her cheek while his other hand moves to rest on her side. ]

[ That’s pretty much all the motivation she needs to curl her tongue past his lips, breathing out a noise that gets swallowed up by their joined mouths.

She tugs the blanket up over both of their heads with one hand, using the other at the back of his neck to guide him as she slides down to lay flat on the couch. Yeah, they could be here a while. ]

[ Zagreus brushes his tongue against hers, making a pleased little sound in return to her own noise.

Well, this is nice and toasty, also. He shifts with her, letting him take that control and presses against her when they're more horizontal. Truth be told, he could handle being here through the entire storm.

The hand resting on her side starts to rub gentle, if a little distracted because of deepening the kiss. ]
