Welcome to a new week, lovebirds! Monday dawns gray and misty, and it's actually not long before a thunderstorm rolls in! You can, of course, kiss dramatically in the yard in the rain and risk getting struck by lightning-- or you can stay inside, cuddle in the conversation pit, USE THE GODDAMN BOOM BOOM ROOM or do anything else until the storm blows over by the evening! Don't worry, the rest of the week will be bright and sunny and beautiful!

There's also a new section of the house, weirdly enough! There's a bright turquoise door located near the bedroom and opening it leads to... a massive indoor pool. The water is a pleasant temperature, there's a hot tub, there's an assortment of flotation devices for those of you who might have trouble swimming (tubes, life vests, boogie boards, pool noodles that can also be used to wage Deadly Combat if you are Sara and Kasque or Jeritza or anyone else ready for Violence). And if you somehow didn't pack a swimsuit because why on earth would your canon let you have one--

Worry not!! There's a rack of swimsuits in every size you lot could need! The catch (or not): they're all sexy. Like. Barely there sexy. Impossibly adhering to you sexy. Shoelaces would maybe cover more sexy. Absolutely great to play Chicken Fight in sexy. You get the idea.

Anything having to do with being able to write is still also Not Present.

Well, if we’re all sharing, I’ll toss my hat into the ring. I want someone who can keep up with me. An adventurer’s lifestyle isn’t an easy one, but it’s dear to my heart. My ideal partner won’t be afraid to get dirty or put themselves on the line for others.

Someone who values friendship and family ties is also important, as both are huge parts of my life.

[ If it looks like her eyes flick briefly to Sara on that last part… no they don’t. Anyway, moving on… ]

If there’s aught I need outside of that, I couldn’t possibly begin to tell you what that is. I like to think I’m decently self-aware.

So, someone with wanderlust, willing to make sacrifices for the sake of others.

[How idealized, he thinks, but he moves on.]

Stressing the importance of friendship and family is probably one of the popular sentiments. I don’t know if that narrows it down too much.

[ She almost expects him to make a snide remark, and it's a bit of a surprise when he doesn't. ]

Maybe, maybe not. I've yet to hear many speak on the matter.

[ Don't judge her for glances that she may or may not have stolen - which she didn't, by the way. ]

I notice that you have yet to say your piece. What does someone like you want, anyroad?

My wants are simple. I'd require someone who I can trust to run my business alongside me. That includes making tough decisions when necessary. Someone who can see the big picture and not get bogged down in the grit.

Loyalty's a big component, too. It wouldn't just be one-sided, of course.

So you're looking for a business partner as well as a romantic partner, then?

[ Sounds a bit stuffy for Blaze's liking. ]

[He expected the follow-up question. To him, it’s a bit redundant.]

What would a man in my position need? After my father’s death, all I lacked before is now mine. I’ve already been granted what I needed. Now it’s just a matter of filling in all the little details of want.

[ Please ignore that he looks over in her direction when she talks about ideals in her partner before looking around the room to continue with general partner chatter. ]

[ Oh, she catches his eye as she's definitely not glancing around. Once she's finished her little talk with Rufus, she comes over and drapes herself over his shoulder. ]

Come to think of it, you haven't really told me what you're looking for, have you?

[ She just had to ask, too, didn't she? ]

The type of person I can feel comfortable with and have a good conversation with. You know, that kind of thing. Good connection's pretty important, right?

[ Listen, it's not a lie. ]

It's a good basis, certainly, but you must be interested in more than that.

[ He's not getting away that easily! ]

[ Yes, please bully him. It's a good thing. He rubs his neck in thought, making a soft sound. ]

Hmm... Probably someone I can speak to on equal terms. Status doesn't matter. Just as who we are. There's a lot of things I don't know and haven't gotten to experience, so I think my partner might have to be a little understanding of that kind of thing.

[ His voice is a bit wry, he would prefer to joke about this, but it really isn't fair here. So, he'll give some general honesty, especially for her and anyone else that cares to hear it. ]

I would not have figured you for someone sheltered, but I think that's a find list of things to want. I always take joy in experiencing new things.

[ She knows that she would be more than happy to be that person for him, as well, but things are getting rather complicated the more time she spends with him. She doesn't know if it's wise to give voice to that sentiment just now. ]

We've all got our surprises. Being able to experience new things helps stave off boredom and keeps life exciting.

[ He really wishes things could be a lot more simple, but life doesn't always go as planned. Even for a god, things don't always go the way they expect. ]

And gods forbid life should ever be boring.

It's not something I would recommend.
