Welcome to a new week, lovebirds! Monday dawns gray and misty, and it's actually not long before a thunderstorm rolls in! You can, of course, kiss dramatically in the yard in the rain and risk getting struck by lightning-- or you can stay inside, cuddle in the conversation pit, USE THE GODDAMN BOOM BOOM ROOM or do anything else until the storm blows over by the evening! Don't worry, the rest of the week will be bright and sunny and beautiful!

There's also a new section of the house, weirdly enough! There's a bright turquoise door located near the bedroom and opening it leads to... a massive indoor pool. The water is a pleasant temperature, there's a hot tub, there's an assortment of flotation devices for those of you who might have trouble swimming (tubes, life vests, boogie boards, pool noodles that can also be used to wage Deadly Combat if you are Sara and Kasque or Jeritza or anyone else ready for Violence). And if you somehow didn't pack a swimsuit because why on earth would your canon let you have one--

Worry not!! There's a rack of swimsuits in every size you lot could need! The catch (or not): they're all sexy. Like. Barely there sexy. Impossibly adhering to you sexy. Shoelaces would maybe cover more sexy. Absolutely great to play Chicken Fight in sexy. You get the idea.

Anything having to do with being able to write is still also Not Present.

It's at this point in time that Jeritza realizes what the brunet says is to be the truth. While some may know or while it has been hinted at in his profile, it is possible that offering such words will make it even more clear. To leave less room for doubt amongst them. ]

One who would be able to meet me on the battlefield, one who'd be able to match me blow for blow, and in a life or death match between the two of us... be the one to emerge as the victor.

And though I've yet to test her skill in battle thus far, it appears Milla has so far stepped up to meet the challenge head on. That in of itself is more than enough of a reason for myself to consider her a viable option.

In reality, what he has said before is quite frankly an insane thing to look for in a partner, but does that stop him? No. ]

The main way to cause myself such excitement is normally in a battle, however.

[ Is he supposed to feel that OUTSIDE of a fight?? Well, he does remember feeling some excitement during that silly pool noodle clash, and then there was in fact that when the two of them were doing that silly race...it was fun? He's not thought too hard about these things except in the moment because of how his everything works.

But in the end, there's only one way to truly see if she will be the one... ]

she is glancing over at this yelling with the most baffled expression possible. yes, she said she would Fight Jeritza. yes, she absolutely is fine with that. at the same time, however— ]

and yet she has her hand on the hilt of her sword anyway (why does she carry that around everywhere she's allowed) ]

[ Jeritza, in fact, does not look physically exhausted at all. It is true that the week had been quite trying, but when it comes to battles and the such, he can immediately find the energy.

But anyway, he will bring out his Scythe which he has likely had on him now that they are no longer on the boat. It is a considerably large weapon. ]

Draw your blade.

[ At least he is not going to suddenly charge her without being sure she is prepared for the fight, and he certainly did notice her hand on the hilt... ]

Why do all of you respond with why to those kinds of questions. [ THE OBVIOUS ONES? ] Everything about you is...

but this is how it is. she draws her considerably smaller, more practical weapon when prompted, slipping into a battle ready position in preparation for the ending to this mess of a day.

... except she relaxes, when she realizes where they are again. ]

We should move this outside before we destroy the place. You swinging that thing is going to destroy a couch, and I like them.

[ ...It sure is a good thing that between the two of them, Milla is more level-headed because Jeritza has no qualms whatsoever about starting an exciting battle right where they are. So, he too relaxes out of a stance of his own. ]

Very well, let's go.

[ And off he does go! Once he arrives at the yard, he will wait until Milla seems ready, fingers tightening on his weapon. ]

[ everyone is doomed when milla is the more level-headed one.

but once they're settled outside, she'll finally slip into a more "combat focused" mode. she assumes jeritza is more of the relentless assault type, and a weapon that large must mean there's a myriad of openings to be had if she can be quick enough.....

... or maybe not. she'll prepare for anything. ]

Before we start. I feel like I know the answer to this already, but my style is a mix of magic and swordsmanship. I don't know your limitations, but I can keep it to just swordplay to make it fair.

...For now we can simplify it to our weapons.

I wouldn't want either of our abilities to make anyone else think it'd be cause to interrupt our fun.

[ Jeritza has...access to some magic spells. A couple basic ones and one that is actually kind of highly dangerous in a friendly spar. So this is the safest way for them to conduct things for now.

Regardless, he seems excited all the same, judging by that smile on his face. ]

but milla looking at that smile just confirms.... he really does have simple needs, doesn't he. which milla doesn't mind — this is to the point, uncomplicated, much different to the mess of things she's been exposed to recently.

so she shakes her head and leaves it at that, preparing herself and eyeing jeritza's stance. she won't wait for any words, or voice any kind of starting statement... when she feels they're both sufficiently prepared, she'll lunge forward, incredibly quick, in the silence.

time to see how jeritza swings that scythe— ]

But yes, for the most part it seems Jeritza is simple and to the point about what he's looking for. He has not made it much of a secret now or ever.

When she comes straight for him, he watches her closely, and the way he goes about it is certainly something.

Jeritza steps to the side, and then swings fast with the Scythe, far quicker than most would be able to with such a large as well as cumbersome weapon. But, he makes it work. He has to, in order to be proficient with it, and adept at counter attacks. ]
