Welcome to a new week, lovebirds! Monday dawns gray and misty, and it's actually not long before a thunderstorm rolls in! You can, of course, kiss dramatically in the yard in the rain and risk getting struck by lightning-- or you can stay inside, cuddle in the conversation pit, USE THE GODDAMN BOOM BOOM ROOM or do anything else until the storm blows over by the evening! Don't worry, the rest of the week will be bright and sunny and beautiful!

There's also a new section of the house, weirdly enough! There's a bright turquoise door located near the bedroom and opening it leads to... a massive indoor pool. The water is a pleasant temperature, there's a hot tub, there's an assortment of flotation devices for those of you who might have trouble swimming (tubes, life vests, boogie boards, pool noodles that can also be used to wage Deadly Combat if you are Sara and Kasque or Jeritza or anyone else ready for Violence). And if you somehow didn't pack a swimsuit because why on earth would your canon let you have one--

Worry not!! There's a rack of swimsuits in every size you lot could need! The catch (or not): they're all sexy. Like. Barely there sexy. Impossibly adhering to you sexy. Shoelaces would maybe cover more sexy. Absolutely great to play Chicken Fight in sexy. You get the idea.

Anything having to do with being able to write is still also Not Present.

[ Kasque lets out a long-suffering sigh before explaining, matter-of-factly: ]

[ ... That explains the "we've barely spoken" thing. She doesn't understand, exactly, but she gets the gist of it — or at least why Kasque is concerned. ]

And your affection for this "other" Milla means that you care greatly for her as well, despite a lack of familiarity.

... I will keep this between us. But Lady Kasque, your obvious regard for her feelings shows a great deal of consideration for Lady Milla as an individual, not just the shadow of another. I believe she, too, will realize this; if not now, then given time.

And now you're gonna try and encourage me. You really should talk to her, if only so I can see if you two just explode from so much stubborn earnestness all in the same place.

Hmmmmmm, it's that kinda thing, huh? A duty you've had as long as you can remember. One that everyone just looks at you and expects.

And because you're so upright and earnest, it probably never even occurred to you to not do it, am I right?

Make no mistake: this path is one of my own choosing. I exist only by the grace and power of the Almighty Shogun, and so my life is hers to command. Everything I do, everything I have done, is for her sake, and hers alone.

For real? Are you here looking for a date for the sake of the Almighty Shogun? Did you stand up to me and and defend Aoko and all that stuff by her grace and power or whatever?

... In a sense, yes. It is my hope to offer the promised wish to the Shogun, even if she has no need of such a thing. After all, as long as I remain in her favour, I have even less need of it myself.

While you are correct that my actions are my own, my reason for being here, and my drive to succeed, begin and end with her. Therefore, I cannot take true credit.

[ ROLLS HER EYES ]

Wow, that may be one of the stupidest things I've ever heard.

[ tbqh it's incredibly eyeroll worthy, Kasque is Correct. ]

Insult me if you like, but I will not waver in my beliefs.

Yeaaah, I kinda figured. Just seems a little sad.

What do you think your match will think of that? That nothing you do is for yourself, and you're only with them to give a wish back to your boss who doesn't even need it?

... If my match is indeed "perfect", as the Lady Overseer claims, then I am certain they will understand.

[ She doesn't sound very certain, though. ]

Hmmmmmmm. Or maybe, what you "need" is someone to push you a out of your comfort zone. Give you a little something of your own.

[ Kasque's tone shifts from challenging to slightly softer. ]

I find that highly doubtful. [ A pause, and she sighs. ] ... But I suppose time will tell which of us is correct.

[ At least she's willing to concede the vague possibility of it. ]
