Welcome to a new week, lovebirds! The weather this week is lovely, and there's a nice breeze going on! Well. Mostly nice. Sometimes there are strong gusts that might push you over (into someone else). Look at that, shippy breezes. Aww.

A new part of the house has opened up, as well! This door is a lovely lavender shade and opening it reveals a massive walk-in closet?? There are sections for each character in their size, with outfits ranging from Familiar and From Home to Extremely Modern, Period Pieces and "Oh So This Is What My Character Would Wear As An Idol". You can even wear matching outfits! Try on clothes from someone else's world! M-maid outfits?? The sky's the limit!

Anything having to do with being able to write continues to be Not Present.

[ A new area means new things to pilfer rummage through, even if fashion isn't something Ash usually concerns himself with. Hard to when you're usually in plate, but hey he's always up for taking advantage of whatever the situation brings.

The outfit he's chosen to wear today is somehow not overly gaudy, and shockingly not gold. Of course this doesn't mean the clothes he's currently rifling through don't seem to be more of gold family, and to whoever enters the walk-in-closet he has a simple question to ask. ]

Think they'll let us keep these after?

[ After he's had his full of bling, Ash can be found late at night, looking towards the direction of the Honeymoon suite. He's not expecting company, so this is really more to himself (or so he thinks). ]

Jeritza is wearing something close to what he normally wears, but it is still actually from home instead of the new clothing choices. For now. ]

It may depend on how they would benefit from that.

[ Not that he seems to care, because he seems to turn around to leave the walk-in closet, not interested in remaining in such a small space. But if Ash wants to say something he will slow down even if his ability at conversation is still sub-par. ]

[ As Blaze has a tendency to do, she walks up near-silently, and when she catches what he's muttering, she frowns. A massive palm suddenly claps down on the top of Ash's head - not hard enough to hurt, but it's how she's chosen to announce her presence. ]

COOKING MAMA TSUNDERE
[ early in the morning, those shuffling into the kitchen will find milla there... looking rather busy. donning an apron, her hair's been done neatly into a ponytail, and she looks up from her cooking whenever someone wanders in as if... she's expecting someone.

but then she looks back down. upon closer examination, there's a variety of breakfast food piled up on plates in a kind of buffet style... thing. pancakes, eggs, bacon, etc. randomly, there is Soup there too. for anyone who lingers, milla says casually without looking up: ]

You can help yourself. I ended up making too much without thinking.

[ how do you make this much food and not realize.... ]

WALK-IN CLOSET
[ later, milla is lingering around in the walk-in closet after a quick glance to make sure no one's around. her usual style sits between mildly jrpg intricate and practical, but she's definitely pausing over some of those idol outfits.

[Yoosung is there first thing! And they all bunk together so she may know that he actually did go to bed early the night before. He's been very good! Though, he still yawns a bit as he's walking in because damn, he does not usually get up in the morning if there aren't classes.]

[ Well, Jeritza will come in, drawn by the scents of a well-cooked meal. This too brings a feeling of nostalgia, of a time that no longer exists, and yet... his eyes pass over Milla's domestic look before landing on the spread. ]

It seems that you have.

[ He will approach and take a plate, before beginning to take a good portion of pancakes. He is pleased at the variety of the selection, in fact. ]

Is this...something you do often?

[ Johnny's trying to get around without his cane for a little bit this morning - which is to say he's still got it in one hand, but he's seeing how far he can make it before he has to rely on it again. This is relevant because it means he's not accompanied by the usual clonk clonk clonk that announces his presence, and thus, he sticks his head in the closet in time to see Milla regarding those frilly dresses...

he doesn't say anything when their eyes meet. he just raises a brow and gives her a "told you so" kind of look. ]

[ Blaze is in here too, poking around through racks of clothes. She's lost behind a massive ballgown - something the likes of which she would never wear, but it's fun to look at. She pokes her head around the pile of skirts and ruffles that somehow even she's gotten lost in and smiles. ]

I think it would look lovely on you.

[ He's eating in the closet (crushed up instant noodles in a bag, because why not) as he inspects all the outfits on display. This is an even greater selection of clothes than were on display at the stores by the beach...! Impressive. ]

Will you be trying one on? I believe you to be appropriately suited to wearing such an outfit.

The Outdoors

[ If someone had inquired Jeritza if he has had a preference as to where he'd like to be when he'd arrive, the blond would've stated 'where he would not be bothered, except in case of a spar'. Now, it has slightly changed given him feeling particular towards being outside. It is fairly common to see the blond many hours of the day wandering the yard, with his eyes upon the flowers that are there.

Perhaps even touching them at times.

To anyone who approaches, he will turn his attention to them, appearing as he always is. ]

...Did you need something?

[ Unsurprisingly, his people skills are still lacking. ]

[ At some point, Jeritza is here...

Well, he's barely inside of it, and he is looking at one of the maid outfits. ]

...Why is this even here?

[ Jeritza's tone sounds rather dry, perhaps more dry than it usually is. ]

[ Truth be told, Dia had been watching him come close to touching the flowers. It's cute. So maybe this "solemn sword wielder" as everyone calls him has a soft side... ]

Mm, no. I'm just admiring the flowers.

[ They don't seem fazed by the lack in people skills, smiling easily at him. ]

They don't have blooms like these where I come from, so I like to come see them often. Are you not doing the same...?

[ This new room is about the best thing they could have asked for to lift their spirits; their portion of this impossibly huge wardrobe is massive, filled with racks and racks of the fluffiest, frilliest idol dresses ever. A lot of them have bunny ear accessories, or bows bigger than a person's head... but the more important thing is that every outfit as far as they eye can see from their home world is white in color. ]

How do you know what color suits you best...?

[ they've literally only ever worn black or white... this is an exciting turn of events. They're holding different outfits in different colors up to themself in the mirror, one after the other. ]

Maybe... something like this?

[ And at last - they're holding up something they clearly swiped from your rack. It's not like they know who's stuff is who's!! It just looked cute (<-- their definition, it could be anything from armor to something out of the box/swexy/costumey, they're weird), so they took it. ]

[ Sometime else in the week, if you get caught outside at an unlucky time with them, the wind will throw you into their side, which feels about as pleasant as being slammed into a wall or getting a coffee table to the shin. Double unfortunately, the wind doesn't seem to be letting up, so you're stuck pinned against them until the gust passes. ]

Ah—

[ WOW this wind is strong, they try to put a hand between your body and theirs wherever they can, attempting to hold you in place so you don't blow away (???? they think this could be possible). sorry if they grab your tit it's a possibility ]

[ Would you look at that... their wardrobes are right next to each other. Maybe this is a good thing? A chance for them to smooth things over? It's hilariously awkward after their little meltdown yesterday, which they do feel sorry for, now that there's distance between that event and the present. At the time, all they'd been able to think about was how embarrassing it was to be pitied by everyone around them, even by the Overseer...

But there's no really easy way to make things better. While it would usually be their play to do the usual "act cute to cheer someone up" gig, they have a feeling that kind of thing doesn't work on someone like Trevor. They'll try the more intellectual route: ]

Oh, so these are clothes from your homeworld...? [ that's right, they're looking at those castlevania ye olden clothes. ] You must also be some kind of adventurer. They're very... cultured?

[ ... they don't have a good word to describe these clothes and tried their best ]

[ At some point, he goes to check out the closet to see what the place has in store. There's some ridiculous looking items, some very interesting. He looks at them in thought. ]

Quite the selection they've got here.

[ Eventually he settles on changing into this outfit and goes to take a stroll outside in the wind. He holds his arm up, closing one eye as he looks toward the bright sky. ]

This all feels pretty amazing, doesn't it?

[ There's something a little wistful in his voice, but his face is nothing but chipper looking.

Or he can be found randomly sprawled on the couch. Pick your poison. ]

[ Ash is strolling around in his own fashion forward clothes today. ]

[ Kasque actually seems to be having some fun browsing the racks. She lingers especially on the more modern styles. ]

Huh, there's seriously a lot of stuff here I've never seen before...

[ Like a vocaloid. Or... She pulls a suit(?) off the rack.]

...What do you think? Would this be a hot look?

[ Later, Kasque discovers some clothes she has seen before. (The ribbons match the one currently in her hair, and the color scheme is hers even if the clothes are much more... down to earth.) She freezes cold, a distant expression on her face, and stays like that for about thirty seconds before finally pulling her hand back and bringing it to her temple like she has a headache. ]

[ Kasque is enjoying the sunlight and nice weather by hovering among the trees. She bobs gently in the breeze... until a stronger wind suddenly blows her sideways into someone. Her spiraling wings(?) just pass through their body like they're insubstantial before her most definitely substantial body comes into contact. ]

Wh—?

That's... different.

[But from the pleased surprise in her voice, it sounds like a positive kind of different.

The suit... Is actually really flattering. It's an unfamiliar style for Marcille, too, but something about the loose, straight lines alongside all of the glitter and shine that seem matched to Kasque's personality, both striking and laid-back.]

Actually... I think it really suits you. Why don't you try it on?

[The swimsuit disasters from the other week (which she definitely still wore) aside, Marcille has been generally sweltering in the clothes she packed. It wasn't her fault the invitation came in the middle of a dungeon, after all! is it any surprise that she's visibly excited by the arrival of the closet, bringing anyone who'll agree to walk in with her there immediately?]

It'll feel good to get out of the clothes I had to bring with me for a while!

[For anyone who hasn't grown tired of socializing in practical, sturdy adventuring gear, any number of practical, actually useful D&D style outfits are available, in addition to some more Generic Fantasy Europe looking clothing and some fancy dresses. For her part, she is gravitating towards all the clothes that look like they belong in a 'cool instagram outfit ideas ♥ ' Pinterest board or anything that has even the suggestion of glitter or sparkle to it, pulling several different options off the rack.]

Do you want to try something? We can each take turns picking something out for each other. We can call it a... trust-building exercise! We'll learn a little bit about what we know about the group.

[Anyone who ran into Marcille out here last week will remember her attempt to partition the whole household into pairs with M&Ms in a serious strategy meeting. She's out there again this week, but the scene is a completely different one. The twenty lined up candies on the table are in two lines again, but Marcille herself is lying on some cushions on the floor, wearing something a little more appropriate for hanging out in the house from her closet. The bag of candy is next to her, and she lies on her back, staring at the ceiling. The bag's getting pretty low: She might have been here for a while.]

We have to get the right people in the booth. [The lump grumbles from her position on her back on the floor, not to anyone in particular, though anyone who's within earshot is welcome to be a part of it.

She pours another handful of M&Ms into her mouth from several inches above.]

[ This strategy meeting isn't quite as enthusiastic as the last. Maybe poor Marcille is losing steam? Anyway, Blaze wanders over, bending to look down at where Marcille is lying. Her eyes flick to the candies on the table, to the bag at her side, and back to Marcille herself. ]

Careful you don't make yourself sick with all that.

Closet

[ Dohalim is no stranger to the ways of dress-up time, honestly. His usual outfit already looks enough like a costume to other people no doubt, so it might be a bit of a startling difference to see him in a more formal and traditional suit, adjusting the cuffs as he looks in the mirror. It isn't quite neatly put on, the buttons of his vest mismatched and one of the coattails caught in his belt, but he tried his best. ]

[ He's only recently gotten into the habit of dressing himself, please forgive him. ]

Now if only I could locate a violin, I would be suited for a performance.

Wind Shelter

[ During a time when the wind gets particularly feisty, you might find yourself trying to hold steady, or looking for cover. What you might not expect is the sudden pillar of earth bursting from the ground a short distance in front of you. This would be thanks to Dohalim deciding he's had quite enough of the wind blowing things into his face and creating himself a shelter to stop the annoyance for even a moment. Do you duck behind the shelter with him or take your chances with the winds? ]

Conversational Romance

[ After that match up discussion and ceremony, Dohalim's found himself... considering quite a few things. One of which he'd like to get a much clearer idea of for himself, so he can proceed in this place with some semblance of confidence and comfort. Which would be why, should you find yourself in the common area, you'll find Dohalim approaching you with a polite question in tow. ]

Please excuse my interruption, but may I ask for your thoughts on romance while here? Would you consider it your priority, or a secondary matter to other intentions?

[ As Blaze passes by, she does a double-take for several reasons. Mostly because this is a much different mode of dress for Dohalim, but also because of the small ways in which the outfit is slightly... off. ]

Er... Dohalim? Your buttons.

[ She motions vaguely up and down her own torso, as if that will help. ]

Gearing up

Whoa, LOLOL costumes in real life?!

[Yoosung exclaims this at his section of the closet cause he is just that charmed by them. Of course, he has some nice normal clothes too, such as a formal outfit he would have worn to the ~party~ if he hadn't suddenly decided to go on this game show instead. What he's looking at currently is simply the choice between DPS, healer or tank. There's also a police uniform that Yoosung apparently looks hot in thrown in somewhere, but that is not what he's interested in for the time being. He's got to try them on!]

Hehe, I'm basically dressed like everyone else here now... [Yoosung looks over and sees the comparatively dressy and modern outfits people are now wearing] ....Oh.

[But still! You want to let him join your party, don't you? Don't you?]

Yoosung Joins Your Party

[To be honest! Yoosung was inspired by getting cooking lessons from Milla, and now that he's all geared up, what better way to get in the spirit than trying to gain some other skills?]

Hey hey, does anyone want to teach me some skills? It's been a while since I twinked, but it'd be power leveling with you!

[*In MMORPGs, twinking refers to powerleveling a character through the assistance of a higher level character, particularly through the use of otherwise unattainable high level equipment, or the process of keeping a video game character at a low level while using in-game currency, earned by a high level character, to provide it with superior equipment. A twink, therefore, is someone who does this.

Of course any attempts done outside will just wind up with him comically bumping into you.]

[ On Tuesday, the Overseer leads everyone to the same field as before, except now there are a ton of bushes with flags sticking out of them. Once everyone has selected their pairs this time, she quietly looks... well. Curious. And then starts speaking-- ]

Good day, everyone. Today, you will be forming closer bonds and reaching a better understanding, in the shape of a scavenger hunt. There are cards hidden all over this field, either attached to the flags or in trees or beneath boulders. Your task is to find those cards and perform the prompts written on each card. The performing of said prompt is essential, so please do your best.

[ Why does it feel like these trips to the booth take a small lifetime to complete? Blaze watches the proceedings along with everyone else, and when the results come in she heaves a sigh. ]

I kind of feel a bit bad for them.

[ Rufus especially. Poor guy seems to be getting the short end of the stick at every turn. ]

But I guess this tells us that they weren’t one of our correct matches this week, and it also confirms that while surface desires might be considered, there is definitely more weight given to a person’s deeper needs.

On the surface, they match up perfectly, but I can’t help but feel they’d bring out the worst in one another eventually.

So… thoughts?

[ Secretly, they are vindictively satisfied at this outcome.... but there's only the faintest upturn of the corner of their mouth when the verdict actually comes down. They wait until Blaze speaks up to smile in earnest, chasing their egotistical reaction off with something that appears more docile and pleasant. ]

It tells us that what the Overseer said is true. What you want isn't always what you need... or, what you'd have people believe you want, rather.
