❤ Week 2 Matchup Ceremony

[ It's Time.

The Overseer will call everyone outside, to the area. She stands at the podium behind a screen bearing two handprints, while the guys can sit in the seats and the ladies + Diamond will be directed to stand on the platform-- and Cyrus and Douki-chan continue to be seated together.

Behind her and off to the side, there are eight beams of light. ]

Hello, everyone. Choices for our third week have been made. When a couple has been announced, please come forward and place your hands on the screen. You will be locked in.

Once all couples have locked in, the lights will go out. For every couple that is a Perfect Match, a beam of light will appear. To win this game, you will need all eight beams lit. If no new beams have been added per week, you will encounter a blackout and one of you will be chosen at random to lose your wish.

Due to the unfortunate departure of Dohalim, Kuchiha and Vivy, our matchmakers have changed some of the Perfect Matches and also discovered a trio of three. I will inform one of the three of this development next week, to assist them.

[ And so the Overseer begins calling the ladies and Diamond up. As promised, Diamond gets to go first-- and therefore the first couple is Diamond/Marcille. As Diamond explains, "She makes me feel special, and like I can talk to her about anything. I want to get closer and closer." ]

There's most certainly nothing wrong with that. I'm glad to know this week seems to have treated you better.

[ Next-- Milla and Jeritza. Milla seems to be uncomfortable, sighing "Do I seriously have to talk about it? He's good company, so..." ]

Well, he might like to hear more, but that's succinct enough.

[ Next-- Yae Miko and Kasque. Yae's reason? "We seem to have quite a bit in common. I believe we'd know how to show each other a good time. ♥" Heart included. ]

I do believe you would. [ diplomatically.

Next-- Blaze and Sara. When the Overseer blinks, Blaze explains, "Sara should have been my first choice from the start. She's passionate, devoted, and the more I get to know her the more I see how truly amazing she is. We've started this ride together and I'd like to end it together." ]

... I-I see.

[ THE OVERSEER IS TOUCHED BY THIS DEVELOPMENT APPARENTLY BECAUSE SHE'S WEEPING?? Not hard enough to not do her job. Which is to announce that since all the ladies and Diamond took their turn and the majority chose... well, within their group, she's asked for Rufus and Cassius to also make picks this week.

Introducing Rufus and Yoosung (Rufus appears to be thinking the Truth Booth has a strange idea of his match so goes with someone not as anticipated) and Cassius and Zagreus (because Zagreus seems chill). ]

I do appreciate your willingness to try new pairings, truly.

[ and then she pulls the other names out of a hat, so Johnny and Ash are together and Trevor joins Milla and Jeritza, due to the uneven number. ]

[ Zagreus doesn't really seem that surprised or bothered that he's one of the last names out there. His only reaction is a cheeky little grin at Cassius at his reasoning. ]

[ Oh, right. He's also wearing this because it was deemed so. ]

[ Zagreus clearly does not feel burned and Kasque didn't expect him to. But she is teasing a little. ]

[Yoosung dressed up, for whatever it's worth. It's a little awkward, sitting here having been chosen purely for strategy reasons by his friend(?)'s boyfriend(?)

[ Hopefully that's a little reassuring??? Regardless, Yoosung has gotten to mingle with a lot of people out here. He should be happy he's got some game! ]

[ As is the theme right now, Blaze has also dressed up. Yes, she is wearing heels, so she's somehow even taller than before. She reaches out to take Sara's hand as they get into position. ]

[ Meaning the Overseer, though that doesn't seem like a terribly hard thing to do. ]

So no matches last week were correct, then?

[ Minus the ones involving the people who left...? They say this to Marcille, who they're sticking very close to ever since everyone sat down, but they can easily be overheard. ]

I mean, it might actually be a good thing. That eliminates a lot of options.

[ he's trying to be optimistic but he is greatly annoyed because he was not chosen and that led to him being stuck with the one guy he really doesn't like here... ash is being ignored hardcore. ]

[She has some feelings to work through with the adjusted numbers - they'd talked about this, right, that everything was still a little bit complicated? So Marcille's reaction comes after she sits for a minute with her face in Dia's shoulder, processing. When she sits back up, she plants a kiss where her face had been resting and then a second one to their temple.]

Or any that were correct or no longer correct...We really have no way of knowing what the matchmakers chose to rearrange, other than the numbers. So we should just take into account that adjustments were made. I don't think it should change our approach.

Appropriately, he will sit there silent and looking around everywhere else the entire time, waiting for the chance to have a moment to himself and... Think. ]
