The winners of the first challenge have been announced: Cyrus and Douki-chan, Milla and Jeritza and Ash and Diamond. The Overseer extends her earnest congratulations and promises to meet them on Wednesday morning to take them out on the island for their date.

Everyone will be expected to wear a swimsuit underneath any clothes they have on (and the Overseer has thoughtfully provided a change of cute/cool swimsuits in lieu of the Super Sexy ones this time) as they're taken out on a boat to the middle of the ocean and given floaties or snorkeling equipment in order to--

Swim with the dolphins! The dolphins are very eager to make new friends and help anyone who has trouble swimming, though if Diamond chooses to forgo floating and chill at the bottom of the ocean, the dolphins will be able to hang out with them down there too. There's also three floating platforms where our couples can enjoy a delicious picnic lunch and some bonding time while watching the dolphins frolic! If they want to swim over and hang out on one platform as a six-person powwow, this is also fine.

As the sun starts to set, the boat will take you all back to the house.

[ Because they think it would be a nice gesture!! And, they're the only one who would be able to go down there, besides. This is probably the only chance they'll get to go back to the ocean any time soon. ]

[ hint, hint... there's a little teasing lilt in their voice. ]

[Cyrus suddenly turns deaf.]

Aoko? Ah, it seems the two you have grown close in our brief time here. It heartens me to see a bond like yours forming amid so much matchmaking.

[reappraise]

[ "he's smart but dense," aoko had said.... ah. ]

Oh, yes. She's so cute and lively... and her expression is cute when she gets flustered.

[ Seems like they need to play more hardball...?? ]

Have you seen it yet? Maybe when you... kissed?

[That raises his hand—not to grasp his chin as he often does in thought, but to hover just below his lips in recollection of the challenge. His expression is pensive.]

Ah . . . just so.

[His hand lowers while his lips curl into a small smile.]

I believe she flusters easily due to the intensity of her emotions. While she tries to hide them, I think it's rather wonderful that she's able to feel so much.

[reappraise]

Isn't it? She reacts so much, but she's very honest in spite of it...

[ This reaction from him, though.... they eat it right up, not concealing their excitement in the least. ]

Not everyone can be so forthcoming with their feelings. In romantic matters or otherwise. [ They say this like a scholar themself, as if they are an authority on this topic. ] Does it make it easy to tell how she feels towards you?

[His inexperience leads him to defer to their judgment as Cyrus shakes his head. Their investment in romance probably lends them more knowledge on the matter than he.]

. . . I fear that I'm far from well versed in these matters.

[reappraise]

Oh, you haven't been in love before? That's a little surprising...

[ Well actually, now that they think about it, all the teachers they've had were solemn lonesome types. Polite and gentlemanly as he is, they suppose it makes sense that he may have never delved very far into this world. ]

Hmm... how about this, then? Is the impression she gives off good or bad when you're together? Is it fun, or is it awkward?

[Is it very surprising? There are far more attractive beauties and personalities out in the world(s), and he spends most of his time in the great halls of a library. Even here he can list off more than a dozen personalities that shine with brilliance.

Whereas Diamond's comment gets him thinking, the answer to their following questions is an easy one. He doesn't hesitate.]

She has never given me a poor impression. No matter how she's felt, she's given her best in each encounter to date. Every moment with her is a delightful one.

Then... I don't think you have anything to worry about.

[ They say that earnestly, smiling warmly. How adorable.... they feel like they're witnessing the very first bloom of feelings from both sides, and it delights them to no end. Coming here was the best decision they've made in centuries. ]

She's the kind that would make it known if she wasn't having a fun time. She must really enjoy your company.

[His smile softens at the thought. He knows the discomfort he's caused before. Diamond is correct; Aoko does make her dissatisfaction clear, to his benefit. Everything Diamond has said makes sense.]
