The winners of the first challenge have been announced: Cyrus and Douki-chan, Milla and Jeritza and Ash and Diamond. The Overseer extends her earnest congratulations and promises to meet them on Wednesday morning to take them out on the island for their date.

Everyone will be expected to wear a swimsuit underneath any clothes they have on (and the Overseer has thoughtfully provided a change of cute/cool swimsuits in lieu of the Super Sexy ones this time) as they're taken out on a boat to the middle of the ocean and given floaties or snorkeling equipment in order to--

Swim with the dolphins! The dolphins are very eager to make new friends and help anyone who has trouble swimming, though if Diamond chooses to forgo floating and chill at the bottom of the ocean, the dolphins will be able to hang out with them down there too. There's also three floating platforms where our couples can enjoy a delicious picnic lunch and some bonding time while watching the dolphins frolic! If they want to swim over and hang out on one platform as a six-person powwow, this is also fine.

As the sun starts to set, the boat will take you all back to the house.

[On the surface, Cyrus presents himself as he usually does. Complete with the scholar's robe fastened around his neck like a mantle, his attire is billowy enough to conceal the swimsuit beneath layers upon layers that it's a wonder he isn't yet sweltering under the sun.

He looks out over the boat on their way to their destination, taking in the sights with many a question swirling around in his mind. How very exciting! But he's not the only one here. Eventually, he tucks himself in and turns to address the group at large.]

Aoko is sitting on the other side of the boat from him because she is embarrassed to be seen in his company. She is wearing her standard blue swimsuit because she is Normal.

And glancing towards the other pairs.]

Wow... we've got a big mix this time, huh...?

[Who is he to say anything about Aoko's seat of choice? No, she must be comfortable there.]

They're both hot, but this is an island not a desert.

Ash loves gold. Cyrus knows and respects this. It's downright passionate, how that love of affluence surfaces.]

In the desert it's better to cover as much of your skin as you can, unless you wanna burn to a crisp. But islands don't have that problem cause of the water.

I'm well, Cyrus. You look well yourself.

[ they are perhaps the only one that will not clown his choice of attire, because it doesn't even really occur to them that it might be hot outside?? Sometimes you need to make a fashion statement... ]

Is this your first time being out to the sea?

This far, yes—to say nothing of our vessel! How is it able to traverse so quickly without anyone to man the oars? Is this also the work of electricity? Truly, the wonders of technology are limitless.

I don't really know, either... it must be a very complex machine.

[ Engineering and science - those were things their peers were far more interested in on the moon. Dia has certainly never taken the time to understand spacecraft, so even watercraft is far beyond them. But Cyrus's passion for the subject is endearing, if nothing else. ]

I've only been out this far from below, to be honest. Seeing everything on the surface is something else.

[ Speaking honestly, really. At first he's not too enthused about having to also wear a swimsuit but at least the selection is better and it is nice being out here so he is not going to complain. ]

[That's right. They were both less enthusiastic about the rack of swimwear back in the house.]

Ah, Jeritza. Was the selection of garments today to your satisfaction?

[ Ash can initially be found wherever the picnic baskets are, rummaging through and snacking on whatever he finds. This is for all of them, but proper decorum and modesty isn't part of his skillset. Speaking of that, his attire is at least not as terrible as it was earlier in the week, even if it's still gold.

After he's had his fill (and boy can he eat a lot for someone who's a twig without his armor), he can be seen peering over the side of one of the platforms into the water down below. Ostensibly he's in deep conversation with a dolphin, but his question does seem to be a general one: ]

Hey, think you can find a pearl?

Hm? Yes. If I went down there.

[ They don't seem to be taking his question all too seriously, answering as if this were hypothetical. Dia doesn't move to look at him, either, simply continuing to lay where they are, a few feet away on the platform, sunbathing. After that awkward race, they were surprised to even be chosen to come here, not that they aren't grateful for the experience. They're just... confused where they're supposed to stand with him. So, they're observing, for the time being. ]

I suppose it's too dangerous for you to look for one yourself, isn't it?

[ deep water? big animals? these seem like things that would be dangerous to humans. ]

[ Can't be confused if you don't think about it! Or at least that seems to be the attitude Ash is going with. He looks toward Diamond with an unassuming smile. ]

Afraid I'm gonna drown even without my plate?

[ the first thing she's saying when boat slows and the platforms (plus their offerings) come into focus is: ]

[ her own picnic collection.... mostly made out of a need to scream out the stress building up from the challenge and whatever hell else they're going to throw at her (plus trusting nothing provided after the swimsuit debacle), but no one needs to know that.

otherwise, she's going to be looking at the dolphins with a sandwich in hand, absolutely wondering whether or not she should feed them... yes, she is muttering "i wonder if they're hungry..." under her breath.
