❤ Week 4 Mingle

Welcome to your final week, lovebirds(???)!

The weather is perfect, nothing funky going on this week. The house might feel a little more spacious with less people in it after last week, but. It's fine. Things are slowly coming to a close, after all.

But not before two new rooms have appeared in the house. One room leads into a very impressive home movie theater, complete with popcorn maker and concession stand for the true moviegoer experience. A variety of movies will always be playing, from old westerns, black-and-white classics, Oscar nominations, and animated flicks. Also romcoms. Duh.

For those who wish to be a bit more active, the other new room is a little colder because-- it's an ice-skating rink. There are skates in everyone's size and a few padded benches by a vending machine that will dispense hot drinks if you need to warm up.

Anything having to do with being able to write remains Sir Not Appearing In This Show.

rufus & jeritza

[Thankfully, Rufus is not wearing his full ensemble of layers; that might make this game a bit too lopsided in terms of who’ll find themselves bearing skin first. Well, theoretically.

So, he fans out the cards towards Jeritza, donned in just his dress shirt and tie, with his usual white slacks minus the cavalcade of belts often adorning them.]

Letting you go first. I’ll try my skill at guessing.

[darkinstructor]

[ Meanwhile, Jeritza is just in his usual uniform since that is a normal amount of clothing as is anyway. This should be simple enough...probably? ]

Very well.

[ He starts to picks out a card. Which, hm.

Anyway, he'll go to the ground, mime with one finger going upwards from the ground, but stop very shortly. Then he will make a circular motion from atop the "straight line" he made from the finger, before making other vague circular shapes around it. Not quite circular, but they seem to curve inwards around the "circle". Then he'll stand, brushing at his pants and look expectantly at Rufus.

What will he guess? ]

[corporative]

[He crosses his arms, watching with keen interest, trying to suss out a shape in his mind as Jeritza tries to mime it.]

…A tree.

[A tREE? What are those circles? Bundles of leaves on branches?]

[darkinstructor]

...Not quite.

[ He wants to say more, but he's not sure if that is considered cheating. ]

[corporative]

[Probably, and Rufus won’t prompt him for more. Not “quite”, though—]

Hm. But not too off the mark? How about…

[Circular motions… petals?]

A flower?

[darkinstructor]

[ Well, would you look at that? ]

That's correct.

[ There are no confetti or other such nonsense, but hey. He'll just patiently wait for Rufus to make his go, though. ]

[corporative]

[He looks pleased. Confetti or not, Rufus smiles wide, self-congratulatory.]

Great. You’re not too bad at this yourself, you know.

[He doesn’t waste time pulling out a card from the stack, flipping it over and reading its contents. Rufus gives it a moment, then puts the card down and begins his gesturing.

He starts first by crouching down, his fingers wiggling — then slowly rises to about waist length, his hands making wave-like motions, almost erratic. When he stops, he reaches down, placing a hand “on” the area he had just focused on. He frowns and retracts his hand quickly.

That seems to be it. The next moment is Rufus looking at his partner expectantly.]

[darkinstructor]

It has just begun.

[ Jeritza says simply, yet in a serious tone like he is talking about this was the start of some catastrophic conflict.

Anyway, he watches Rufus doing his thing carefully.

There is a pause, and it doesn't look like he is uncertain (yet), but he is definitely not certain. Only because he has a list of considerations in his head... ]

...It's a wave.

[corporative]

[He huffs a little.]

Not exactly.

[Hm. Rufus tries again — this time rubbing his hands together, then stretching his arms out and downwards where his previous gestures once were, palms out.

He repeats the gesture again, then looks at Jeritza for his second answer.]
