❤ Week 4 Mingle

Welcome to your final week, lovebirds(???)!

The weather is perfect, nothing funky going on this week. The house might feel a little more spacious with less people in it after last week, but. It's fine. Things are slowly coming to a close, after all.

But not before two new rooms have appeared in the house. One room leads into a very impressive home movie theater, complete with popcorn maker and concession stand for the true moviegoer experience. A variety of movies will always be playing, from old westerns, black-and-white classics, Oscar nominations, and animated flicks. Also romcoms. Duh.

For those who wish to be a bit more active, the other new room is a little colder because-- it's an ice-skating rink. There are skates in everyone's size and a few padded benches by a vending machine that will dispense hot drinks if you need to warm up.

Anything having to do with being able to write remains Sir Not Appearing In This Show.

[If one person’s going to notice the quieter turn of attitude, it’s going to be Rufus, who approaches—still sans coat—with an inquisitive look.]

Hmmm, I'll never turn down money but I'd accept other forms of payment from you. [ His look is met with a smile, one of his usual ones, though there's something brighter in it. As much as he may be trying to stay away from others, this doesn't apply in present company. ]

[corporative]

Other forms? Now, don’t be greedy.

[He’s joking. Ash can be as greedy as he likes; as Rufus said, he will always have more than enough to give him what he needs.]

If you’re going to approach this like a business transaction, I’ll pay up after I hear what’s going on in that head of yours.

[gilden]

[ He huffs but doesn't let go of his smile. ]

I can't help it when there's so much I want, especially from you. [ Ash pats the space next to him in the patio swing—outside is where he's spending most of his time lately and it's only partially for the view. He's in his regular clothes today, though minus his bulky gloves since he doesn't need them for weather like this. They can both be more open with each other now, anyway. ]

But sure, we can do it like that. [ You'd think he'd be offended but this might in some ways make it easier. ] It's nothing really big, but the end of this is pretty annoying. It's like they don't know me at all, which I knew already but...I kinda almost wish it was with someone like Johnny. Then I could just have a good laugh at it.

[corporative]

[He sits as indicated, the space in the patio swing snug; Rufus doesn’t mind it, pulling in a leg to better face Ash.]

So you think your final match is going to be the exact opposite of what you’d expect? I don’t know. That makes us— [He gestures at the space between them.] -all the more legitimate, right?

[gilden]

[ He'll find Ash leaning into him just a little; the seat is snug by design but as he mentioned, there's some things he can't help. That and it's easier to show how he's feeling beneath the smile this way. ]

I think it's Yoosung, who else would it be? Trevor? [ He doesn't mention Jeritza because as much as that's a non-starter for both of them, at least they'd be on the same page about it. ] How's that work for us though? Not that I don't agree with you, of course.

[corporative]

I don’t know. Can’t see you with Trevor, but I don’t know too much about him. Yoosung… you seem to get along in your own way. Could be.

[He leans back, comfortable, arm stretching out to rest on Ash’s shoulder.]

It works how we want it to. I told you that you’ll be given all you want — even if it means seeking something out with a perfect match that isn’t me. [He nudges him, just a little.] I’ll still require the lion’s share of attention, though.

[gilden]

[ Oh, this really is comfortable, he likes this. It helps put him at ease, even if the topic is anything but. ]

We get along, yeah, but that's really it? He's not my type even if we're just talking 'bout looks. So—[ There's more to it than that, but maybe he doesn't need to worry about it right now. He nudges him back harder, with a proper smile this time. ]

You can have 99% of my attention! The other 1% is for what's left of the game and whoever that's with. And after you can have all of it. [ Just in case that declaration wasn't clear prior, he might as well just say it. He's had enough time to think and process, and if they really are just talking about wants, it's easy. ]

[corporative]

[He hums, amused. But content, something a little less hard-edged about his usual smile when he can share a quieter moment like this. His gaze casts out, just to enjoy the view for now.]

So. Thinking about coming back with me? To my world.

[When this is all done. It seems the most rational question to ask, considering.]

[gilden]

You said you could give me everything I wanted, but how are you supposed to do that if we're not together? [ As bold and bright as ever. And then, softer: ]

And that's what I want, you. [ It's really very funny how much time he's spent not thinking and also thinking about this very question. But he has always been good at stating what he wants, when it matters. ]
